One Evening only: GO PURE hosts me
Tribal Style Lead & Follow and Formations.
Wednesday May 21 7:30-9:30 pm
New fun formations and the concepts of & practice in leading & following will be covered so that dancers can use this to create interesting transitions between the PURE choreographies, or their own choreographies. This workshop is open to current, former, and new members, as well as drummers! Rhythms will also be explored and polished. I’m donating my time to help raise money for GO PURE with this workshop.

May 24 from 6-8 pm
Location: Harwood-Watson Dance Studios

Frame-Drumming the Feminine
It will broaden your scope of ritual, meditation, and rhythm in a cohesive group dynamic specifically celebrating the feminine role in percussive past, present, and future. This class provides a “her-story” of the frame drum, the oldest style of percussion instrument that has its roots in the feminine mystery schools of ancient civilizations. Includes instruction on the proper playing style of frame drum & riq.
For any of the above workshops, you can read more about them on my website: www.bhrigha.com/Classes_Events.html
There is also some sort of hafla/performance in the works for Sunday night in Orlando, possibly at Ali Baba in Longwood. Contact my friend Belle Abbas for more details: belleabbas@rakshipnotik.com
