I finally made it through the entire trademark process and am the proud owner of Bellates (TM)! I have an offical gold leafed certificate and everything. This process took more than a year from application to certificate. I've never done anything like that before, so its a big deal for me. I've been teaching Bellates classes for 2 years in various locations and as part of my bellydance instruction to my students and troupe members. Now I can finally do the DVD and get it out there and be protected from at least some of the copycats. As Tamalyn Dallal says: "Be original!" I'm certainly trying!
